Careers

Join a mission that matters.

Our people keep the nation's senior leaders connected, from the Pentagon to the National Capital Region and Hampton Roads. Every role is on the mission and posted with its clearance and salary range.

Why GCyber

Purpose from day one. A path you can see.

Work with a visible purpose

GCyber people have kept a senior defense leader connected in flight, the systems of the highest executive offices in government secure, and Pentagon networks up. Mission Readiness Onboarding starts on day one: the mission, the customer, and how the environment fits together, before role-specific training.

A documented path up

A career ladder for every role, a development plan for every employee, a qualified-backup model that prepares the next person before the job opens, and check-ins at 7, 30, and 90 days through the first quarter.

More than one contract

Six mission areas, more than 20 contract transitions led, and a trained backup for every critical role, so a career here does not depend on one contract. A development plan for every person is written with the next role in mind.

Mission Readiness Onboarding

Check-ins

Access, workload, role clarity, training progress, and anything on your mind.

Veterans and transitioning service members

If you did this in uniform, you already know the work.

Many of our people came from the units and agencies we now support. A comm officer, a 1D7 cyber transport or RF airman (the old 3D), a 25-series Signal soldier, a Navy IT, or a cyber operator will recognize the environment on day one. Your leave starts accruing in your first pay period and health coverage starts on your first day. Tell careers@gcyber.com your clearance, your AFSC or MOS, and your separation date. We interview before you separate and set a start date around your terminal leave.

Referrals and the talent network

Refer a colleague, or join the talent network.

A referral bonus for every eligible hire, per our referral policy. Not ready to apply? Join the talent network with your clearance, location, and availability date and a recruiter will reach out when a role matches.

Questions we get

Straight answers.

Do I need an active clearance to apply?

Most roles require an active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance because of the classification of the work. Each posting states the level required and whether we can sponsor.

Where will I work?

On customer sites in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Hampton Roads, with some roles elsewhere. Every posting states the location and whether it is on site, hybrid, or remote.

Is remote work possible?

A few roles are remote or hybrid; most senior leader and classified work is on site by nature. The filter above shows which is which.

GCyber just won the contract I work on. What happens to me?

You meet us in your first week, in a meet-and-greet scheduled around your shift, not against it. Your record on the floor is the interview. If we make you an offer, it comes in writing within 5 business days of the meet-and-greet, with the salary range from the posting, leave accrual at your current length of service, and health coverage from your first day. Mission Readiness Onboarding includes you, the workarounds you hold go into the runbook with your name on them, and your role is posted to outsiders only after you have said no.

How fast is the process?

Our targets are a recruiter call within 3 business days, a hiring manager interview within 7 business days, and an offer within 14 days of first contact.
