Mission area 01

Calls connect. Video is clear. Data stays secure. Wherever the leader is.

Senior leader and executive communications: in the office, on the road, and in the air. GCyber has supported communications for the highest executive offices in government, national security leaders, and senior defense leaders for more than a decade.

Talk to usCapability statement

What is at stake

The aircraft is the office. The call cannot drop.

For the nation's most senior leaders, an aircraft, a motorcade, or a residence is a command post. They confer with foreign counterparts, receive intelligence, and direct forces from it. The call must connect, the video must be clear, and the data must stay secure.

When service falls short, the communications officer and the travel team need a fast, competent response from the ground: clear ownership, coordinated action, and verified restoration. That response depends on understanding the whole service path, from the kit in the leader's hands through the satellite link and the ground gateway to the enterprise network.

The whole service path

1

The kit

Encrypted travel, vehicle, airborne, and residential kits. Where faults look like a dead device and are often a link.
2

The link

Military and commercial satellite, cellular, and hotel or international circuits. Where provider faults hide behind symptoms on the kit.
3

The gateway

Encryptors, tunnels, routing, and quality of service. Where a gateway fault affects every leader on that path.
4

The enterprise

Voice, video, and data services on the home network. Where a change nobody told the travel team about shows up at altitude.
5

The leader

What we measure: did the call connect, stay up, and sound right.

We have worked problems from the aircraft side as well as the ground. That is how we tell a platform fault from a provider fault from a gateway fault.

What we do

End to end, around the clock.

Operate the network, 24x7

Continuous monitoring of global senior leader networks from an operations facility: LAN and WAN, encryptors, load balancers, VPN, cellular, vehicle, airborne, and residential links. A Manager on Duty, our senior watch lead, on every shift.

Engineer the kits

Design, modernize, and maintain the kits a leader relies on while mobile, engineered for high availability across airborne, vehicle, and remote conditions.

Keep the links up

Install, configure, and troubleshoot military satellite connections for aircraft and residences, and the international circuits, cellular networks, and firewall and VPN paths travel teams depend on.

Engineer voice and video

Cisco Unified Communications Manager call control, SIP trunking, session border control, secure VTC, and the voice quality measures senior leaders notice.

Secure it

Type 1 encryptors and key management at fixed, residential, and mobile sites. STIGs and cyber orders on compressed timelines. RMF, eMASS, and authorization packages kept current.

Prove recovery

Modernize failover across residential and mobile locations, prove it in a lab against the production baseline, and exercise it quarterly so recovery works under pressure.

How we do it

Prepared ahead of time. Practiced under pressure.

BEFORE EVERY TRIP

Pre-travel health checks

Gateway, tunnel, and service health verified before scheduled travel. Maintenance is scheduled around the travel calendar, never against it.
BEFORE EVERY CHANGE

Lab first, with rollback

Patches, configuration changes, and new capabilities are tested against the production baseline in the lab, with rollback criteria agreed before the window opens.
EVERY QUARTER

Failover and recovery exercises

Defined failure scenarios, assigned roles, measurable recovery objectives, and after-action reviews. Procedures are written so they work when institutional knowledge is unavailable.
EVERY MONTH

Metrics That Matter

Beyond the SLA: time to connect after link acquisition, first-attempt call success, calls dropped in progress, voice quality, and travel team satisfaction. Baselined in transition, reported monthly.

Subcontractor · Around the clockStaffed a senior defense leader's 24x7 situational awareness facility, monitoring a global network that spans fixed sites, residences, vehicles, and aircraft across three classification levels.
Subcontractor · Engineering leadLed planning and engineering for that leader's enterprise communications, including upgrades to the travel and vehicle kits, satellite links for aircraft and residences, and WAN acceleration.
Subcontractor · Failover modernizedModernized multi-classification, multi-transport failover connectivity across every residential and mobile location on that leader's network, with procedures documented for use when institutional knowledge is unavailable.
